A schoolgirl was rewarded this week for her charity work.
Sally Wilkinson was presented with a special certificate from St James's Hospital, in Leeds, to thank her for her fundraising work.
The 11-year-old raised £75 for the charity when she held a pick a straw stall at Cullingworth Gala last month.
Over the she day collected for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, which raises cash for the children's cancer unit at Jimmy's.
Sally who attends Cullingworth Primary School, decided to act when her friend and classmate Jessica Bell was diagnosed with cancer. Jessica, who is also 11, has been undergoing treatment at the hospital.
But even at just 11 years old, Sally is no stranger to fundraising. She has previously raised another £75 in a sponsored jog to help raise the cash to send her friend on the holiday of a lifetime to Disney World, in Florida.
And the youngster has also raised cash for Help the Aged and Oxfam by setting up a stall outside her home.
Her mother, Cathryn, said: "She has always been interested in helping other people, she has been raising money for charity since she was about nine.
"Perhaps it's because of the fact that I am deaf and she understands the problems better, she sees a different side to life."
And Sally, hardly pausing for breath, already has her next charity projects in the pipeline as she prepares to sell tags for Christmas presents.
The money she raises will again go to Candlelighters.
