Luckily it was good weather for people as well as ducks at Bolton Abbey on Sunday.
BBC weatherman Paul Hudson was on hand to start Keighley Sea Cadets' annual duck race.
Senior and junior cadets took part in the event, which raised about £1,300 for the organisation.
Chairman Gladys Briggs said: "We raise funds to keep the unit afloat -- it's all needed.
"The race started from the bridge at the Cavendish Pavilion, at Bolton Abbey, and we couldn't have been more proud of the behaviour of the cadets. The younger ones didn't mess around near the water and it all went without a hitch.
"Despite the odd shower the weather held up for us and everyone enjoyed the day."
The winning four ducks were 0127, 0878, 0296 and 1076.
