Brighouse-based ambulance manufacturer UVG has been sold, safeguarding the jobs of the company's remaining employees.
Administrators from Ernst & Young successfully completed the sale of the company to a consortium led by independent businessman Peter Howard Jones and funded by venture capitalists Resurge plc.
The deal will safeguard the jobs of 40 employees still working at the Universal Vehicle Group, who manufacturer ambulances and security and specialist vehicles.
The new owners also plan to re-recruit a number of the company's former employees in the forthcoming weeks.
The new company will be strengthened by the simultaneous acquisition of Essex-based ambulance distributor Modular and will trade as UVG (Modular).
