Danny Cadamarteri thinks Nicky Law was joking about trying him at left back - but he's not too sure.
The City striker has been played in various roles in pre-season as Law formulates his plans for the long-awaited kick-off to the season.
Cadamarteri said: "I don't know what the gaffer's intentions are, whether he wants to play me up front, left wing or on the right wing.
"He has tried me in a few positions but I don't mind about the ideas he has got. If he feels I'm more suited to a wing role then I'll give it a go.
"My aim for the season is to play well and score a few goals, hopefully building up a good partnership with Ashley Ward. But the manager knows I will try to be as versatile as possible to accomodate the team.
"The main thing is being out there on the pitch at the kick-off and doing your best whichever role you have."
After the stormy summer that the club has endured, nobody is going to beef about anything as trivial as playing in a different position.
And Cadamarteri, like the other "reprieved" members of the side, is just happy to get back to business again.
"It's been a hard few months for everyone in the squad," he admitted. "Even the players that never had their contracts terminated have been affected because there has been this mixed feeling.
"But it's never been an issue that we didn't want to play. Obviously some things happening behind the scenes have been disheartening but we've just been looking to get our fitness up and be prepared for the new season.
"We've had some up and down pre-season friendlies but this is the real thing."
Wolves hardly seem the ideal opening opponents for a side that nearly went to the wall. But Cadamarteri is not predicting a one-sided affair.
He added: "We've got a good squad of players with a lot of experience as well as some youngsters coming in. And with the three new lads, that will strengthen us.
"It's no good studying Wolves and thinking they've got people like Paul Ince. All we can do is look at our own performance and make sure we all put in 100 per cent.
"Wolves have been hot favourites for a few years without quite managing it and they'll be up there again.
"But with everything that's gone at Bradford, people will be looking at us to see if we can get our heads round it and be professional."
