A Shipley based contract cleaning company, CCA Ltd, which was founded three years ago, has built up a workforce in West Yorkshire of 700, and is taking on new workers each week. Each year the company has increased its business by 100 per cent and expansion has led to regional offices in Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle and Teeside. The possibilty of overseas contracts is also being discussed.

Leeds Road, Bradford, is gradually assuming a new look. Earlier this year, the tarmac surface replaced sets from the Ritz to Harris Street traffic lights and there the work stopped. About the time some folk were taking early holidays the roadmakers came back. Now they're halfway up the straight heading for the first bend - or curve. They have almost reached Leeds Road Baptist Church, the newest building in Leeds Road, now almost completed. The design is pleasing and there's something mellow about the sandy yellow of the stonework.
