Detectives investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found dumped in a ditch today renewed their appeal for information.
The body of fairground worker Max Ling was found in Pinfold Lane, Upper Edge, Elland, on Friday, May 31, but police believe the 28-year-old did not die there.
Mr Ling, of Atlas Mill Road, Brighouse, was last seen in the Market Street area of Brighouse town centre at 2pm with an unknown white male on Thursday, May 30.
It is believed Mr Ling may have spent some time on the Thursday evening drinking in Brighouse pubs.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him.
The investigation is centred on the possibility that drugs may have contributed to Mr Ling's death.
Detective Inspector Dick Nuttall, of Calderdale CID, said the death has profoundly affected Mr Ling's parents, of Wyke.
"Max's untimely death has hit his family very hard," he said.
"They are trying to cope with their grief but they are desperate for details of how Max spent his last hours."
Anyone with information should call Calderdale CID in confidence on (01484) 405209.
