An amazing array of cricketing talent is about to descend on Salts with former Pakistani and Indian Test stars agreeing to play in a benefit match for the stricken Bradford League Second Division club.
Salts first-team captain Mohammed Maroof said: "We are desperate to make this India v Pakistan game a huge success. This club is virtually down and out. Without this match and the money it can raise, we are looking at folding.
"We have been preparing this match for months now."
The latest star to put his name forward is Fazal-e-Aqbal, who has opened the bowling for Pakistan on a number of occasions.
The match takes place on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26) and those taking part include Pakistan Test cricketers Asif Mjtabe and Shabbir Ahmed, and Indian stars Sameer Dighe, Nilesh Kulkarni and Atul Bedade.
There will be coaching sessions for children on a fun-packed family day.
Salts have been in financial decline over the past few years. But should the club survive - and Maroof says he will do everything in his powers to make sure it does - it has big plans for the future.
"Next year we plan to start a the Salts Academy and we will target schools to find the talent," he said.
"I would appeal to all former players and everyone who has been involed with Salts or who just loves cricket, to come down here on August 26 to see a feast of cricket."
He added: "There will be some great players to watch and I am sure this is an opportunity for league clubs, who are on the lookout for overseas players, to send down representatives."
In Bradford League Division One, Undercliffe travel to lowly Yeadon tomorrow hoping that the two Pudsey sides slip up.
The title race is wide open with third-placed Undercliffe ready to make a charge.
Congs must overcome Farsley, away, and Pudsey St Lawrence have a tricky home match against Woodlands.
Fourth-placed East Bierley can't afford any mistakes at mid-table hanging Heaton.
Teams are reminded tomorrow's games are all 1pm starts.
