Host coach Brian Noble believes St Helens will mount the most serious assault yet on the Bulls' unbeaten Super League record at Valley Parade tonight.

Saints are yet to win at either Odsal or the home of Bradford City in seven years of trying in the summer era.

But as this season moves towards its climax, Noble expects the Sky Sports cameras to witness a mouth-watering clash of first v second.

The clubs have beaten each other once this season, but Noble, whose side lead the table by just two points from Saints, said: "This will be one of the toughest games, if not the toughest, and I have been looking forward to it for a while.

"They are a very, very good team - well drilled and well coached.

"It is going to be a hell of a game. There are wonderful match-ups right across the field, and I would advise anybody to get to this game.

"The atmosphere will be super and the game deserves a very big crowd, as there will be all that is good about our game on show. It is a mouth-watering prospect - even for a neutral."

Noble added: "They will have a full team and all the noises coming out of their camp suggest they are looking forward to coming to Valley Parade and trying to beat us."

Saints have not won in Bradford since a 32-18 success at Odsal in November, 1995, and Noble intends to keep Ian Millward's side waiting.

He added: "It is one of his ambitions to win at Valley Parade, but it is an ambition of ours to keep that record going.

"They have made noises about how that will put pressure on us, but there will be an element of respect from them as well.

"They will respect the fact that we have that record. Ian is saying it is a tough place to come and we are not embarrassed about that.

"We are very proud of the fact we are tough to beat at home, and we won't be any less tough tonight."

Saints will field all their big guns for the clash as Paul Sculthorpe, Peter Shiels and Darren Britt return after being rested for last week's 34-2 win over Wakefield.

The Bulls, who have won all six of their games since their trip to Knowsley Road, have prop Richard Moore back in contention after a toe injury.

But there is extra pressure on the Bulls squad to perform tonight as both Paul Anderson (broken arm) and Brandon Costin (ribs) are only a week away from being back in contention themselves.

The Bulls will head south tonight to prepare for tomorrow's Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham. They have been made tournament favourites by one bookie.
