Pupils at Oakbank School have been thinking about healthy living.

During a consultation with Keighley's Healthy Living Network, in partnership with Education Bradford, pupils at the Keighley school discussed health and fitness in a special workshop.

Representatives from different year groups took part in the workshop and had access to fruit and water while they discussed the issues.

Betsy Twelves-Dickson, from the Healthy Living Network, said: "The pupils were excellent and really took the discussions seriously.

"They had some great ideas about promoting healthy living in school and were very sensible."

n Oakbank students were put through their paces as part of a Choices for Life workshop.

The workshop, run by James Dakin, aimed to encourage the pupils to work as a team.

They were set tasks, which promoted qualities such as problem solving, decision making, leadership skills, motivation and communication.

Oakbank teacher Phil Artis said: "This is something we organise every year as we find it really useful for the pupils. They learn so much about how they work as individuals and as a team."
