Workers are to simulate crossing piranha-infested water as part of an ultimate charity challenge.
Yorkshire Water has entered three teams to take part in Team Challenge on Wednesday, September 4.
The fun activity day at the Nell Bank Centre, Ilkley, is in aid of the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Can...Cancer Research Appeal and the educational centre.
Teams will take part in a variety of challenges to improve skills like trust and communication.
These might imitate situations like crossing hazardous terrain at night or even navigating piranha-infested rivers. Throughout the day there will be six problem solving exercises, culminating with an 'ultimate test' of all the skills learned.
At the end of the day, the winning teams of six will be receive prizes.
Karen O'Rourke, press officer for Yorkshire Water, said: "We are delighted to support the initiative and our teams are definitely looking forward to it, with a little trepidation."
She said the event was linked to the company's annual team-building drive, which enabled colleagues to improve their working together and learn more about themselves.
Miss O'Rourke said the benefits of the events were two-fold as it meant a chance for staff to develop and to put something back into the community by supporting a local cause. She said the firm was also supporting the Bradford Can...Appeal in other ways, such asking staff to donate aluminium cans for recycling.
The appeal has raised £500,000 towards cancer research at the University of Bradford and Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Once it reaches £1million, Cancer Research UK will inject another £5million into the city to investigate the potentially deadly disease.
Team Challenge will start at 9am on Wednesday, September 4, and exercises will run until 3.45pm.
It costs £600 per team and lunch is provided. The day is suitable for companies or groups of individuals.
To book, call the appeal office on (01274) 235482, fax on (01274) 233298 or e-mail bradfordcan@cancer.org.uk.
