Around 200 wannabe models who think they've got what it takes to strut their stuff on the catwalk will fight it out in the heats of the Telegraph & Argus Model Search competition.
There have been a huge number of entries by post, and with a model scouting day taking place in the Kirkgate Centre tomorrow the total number of entries is expected to exceed 300. One of the entrants, Mudassar Khan, is pictured here.
Between 11am and 3pm a team of spotters will be approaching people whom they think may have the looks and personality to make it as a model.
If they want, their details and a photograph will be taken and they will be automatically entered for the competition heats at the Kirkgate Centre on Monday, August 26.
On the day of the heats, the shopping centre will feature a catwalk, full lighting, sound and compere and the contestants will take to the catwalk to try to impress the judges.
The winners of the heats will compete in the grand final on Saturday, August 31, also at the Kirkgate Centre.
As well as winning vouchers to spend at shops in the shopping centre, grand finalists also get the chance to be scouted by Nemesis Model Agency which has offices in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
Michael Tierney, of Messages Public Relations, which has processed the entries and organised the team of spotters visiting the shopping centre, said: "The postbag from Bradford has been getting bigger every day this week and I expect the entry level, including those who we scout tomorrow, to be at least 300.
"It is surprising how many good-looking males and females of all ages seem to come out of the woodwork for this type of event.
"People are invariably dismissive about the area they live in but when the event comes about it creates a real buzz both for the participants and those who are in the audience.
"At the end of each event, no matter how long and arduous the day has been, the organisers always feel the buzz too. This is even more reason to enter.
"If you have already entered, there is no need for you to come and see the scouting team.
"Further details will be sent out next week giving you the timings, what you will be expected to do and wear."
A male and female winner will be selected from each of four age categories.
