Ian Millward isn't writing off Bradford Bulls' title chances - despite his St Helens team ending their 25-match home run in sensational style at Valley Parade last Friday.
Saints won 50-22, but their coach warned: "Don't worry about Bradford - they will be there when the whips are cracking at the end of the season."
St Helens ran in eight tries, but Millward said: "The Bulls didn't capitulate - they worked really hard in defence, but the game didn't reflect that.
"Some parts of their game were really good, but we took our opportunities.
"They are a very good team - you don't become World Club champions by being a poor team."
The points difference between the clubs - still in Bradford's favour - was reduced from 106 to 50 as Saints avenged their controversial 54-22 loss at the same venue a week before the Challenge Cup final in April - after which the club were fined for fielding a weakened side. But Millward said the thought of revenge never entered his head.
"We did honestly not discuss that all week. The main thing was to win. If we'd won by one point I'd have been happy."
Millward - never one to let an opportunity slip by - also noted that the attendance of 13,948 was 323 less than watched his severely weakened Saints side there in April.
"Maybe people prefer watching young kids, and if we pick young kids more often then more fans will turn up," he joked.
