A new business has been set up by a mother and her two daughters.
The website www.rooftoppost.co.uk was born from an idea Linda Betts, 55, had when her two daughters were little.
Natalie Betts, 25, who is an IT manager in Leeds, explained: "She would always send us letters from Father Christmas, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy to amuse us. She even drew rabbit's footprints in some flour on the kitchen floor once.
"As we have grown up, my sister, Leone, 27, took over the idea and sent similar letters to other children we know.
"We then got together and decided it might be a nice idea to start up a company that allows parents to order these letters online and have them sent to their own children.
"We decided to use a website as we felt it would reach more people and it would also allow parents to view the site at work when the children were not around."
Leone Bett's business, which operates from her home in Shipley, is set to expand its range of services and will shortly start selling a range of Cottingley Quilts made by Linda, a self-employed driving instructor.
The quilts, which are available in cot or single size, bear the name and birth date/christening date of the child to whom they will be given.
The web site, which has been running for just over a week, is currently run by the trio but they hope to expand staff levels depending on its success. Letters start at £4.99 each for one page, going up to £8.50 for three pages.
