Keighley band Blondel is taking a trip to London for its first major recording session.
The news comes as the band announces a series of local appearances over the next few weeks.
The trio plays an evening gig at the Bay Horse, Cowling, this Sunday as part of the annual pram race festivities.
Coming up is the Punch, Silsden (Wednesday), Royal, Keighley (Sept 5), Three Horses, Fell Lane (Sept 7), and Dalesway, Cross Hills (Sept 13).
Blondel musician Roger Kirby says the London recording session is likely to take place within the next few months.
He says: "We've been too busy playing and rehearsing to do much until now, but we have an invite from a rather nice studio which is too good a chance to miss."
The band is likely to record songs by Martin Keighley, a long-time musical partner of Roger in the 80s band Single File.
Roger says: "Martin still writes even though he's given up playing live to concentrate on sitting in the Cock and Bottle in Skipton!"
Information about the band can be found on the web site www.blondel.dk.
