TEENAGE spin bowler Richard Falkingham made a spectacular start to his senior career - taking two wickets with his first two balls.
Richard helped Keighley to victory over Hartshead Moor on Sunday, having a confident lbw claim turned down off his third delivery. He finished his seven-over spell with three wickets for 49 runs.
Earlier Lee Gordon (76 and Paul Wilkinson (67) built an opening partnership of 138 as they raced to 251-3 with Aussie Joel Crouch adding 40.
Keighley won by 122 runs to bounce back after a disappointing day on Saturday when they suffered a three-wicket defeat at the hands of Gomersal.
At one stage Keighley had lost three wickets for just five runs, but fought back to finish on 102. The visitors were worried as they slipped to 50-5, but they dug in to win with seven wickets down.
"The way the results went we still have a chance of making the third promotion spot, but we will need to win our remaining games," said secretary Mike Parker.
Keighley are in fifth place behind Mirfield and Bradford and Bingley, with a game in hand on their local rivals.
