Paul Burrow has become the first winner of the renewed Keighley Pool Ranking Tournament.
In the five events played, Paul managed to reach four finals - winning two of them.
With one event to go only a handful of players could still challenge Paul for top spot, but he wasn't going to be denied and he secured his place as Keighley's top amateur pool player by reaching the final, only to lose 8-3 to an in form Glen Pilkington.
Glen made a nightmare start with early exits in the first three events, but managed to do himself justice by reaching the final in the last two and earned himself a well-deserved second place.
Other notable performances throughout the tournament included Lee Vause, who reached the last 16 in all the five events, notching up a very respectable fifth place overall.
Mark Pilkington and James Uttley both won an event each, with John Ward and Craig Thornton enjoying very successful campaigns despite playing very little pool between events, finishing eighth and fourth respectively.
The tournament has been a great success and has generated a huge amount of interest within the Keighley Pool League. The next competition is due to start next month.
