A popular exhibition which was a hit at the Red House Museum in Gomersal is set to re-open in September.
The National Service exhibition was originally launched at the museum in Oxford Road in October 2000 to mark the fortieth anniversary of the official end of post-war conscription.
Now the displays, objects, photographs, memories and music of the exhibition will return on Sunday, September 8.
Visitors will be able to see aspects of daily life as a National Serviceman.
As well as a soldier figure in original battle order uniform and a display of a barrack room, the exhibition will also look at weapons training and leisure time.
Memorabilia, personal photographs and reminiscences from former Spen Valley National Servicemen will also be on display.
The exhibition will be on show on the first floor of the museum until June 2003. Admission is free.
For further information contact the museum on (01274) 335100.
