A splendid feast of cricket saw Bowling Old Lane emerge triumphant in the Evening League play-offs held at Bolton Villas.
The round-robin format had Oakworth playing Lightcliffe Motors in the first match. League prize-winner Jason Goodwin took four for 23 as Oakworth were struggling at 5 for five after 11 overs.
However, a classy half century from Rob Hopkinson took his team to a total of 113 for nine.
Simon Tandy 37, and Rob Larner 42 not out then overcame the loss of an early wicket to secure an eight-wicket win for the Division Three champions.
The second game saw Bowling Old Lane post a respectable score of 134 for six with solid contributions from Gareth Lee (37) and Haqueq Siddique (32). Oakworth's Mick Scarborough being the pick of the bowlers with an excellent return of three for 19.
In their reply, openers Tim Walsh (36) and Steve Hartley (24) laid a great foundation for the Division Two winners but their dismissal and the loss of Scarborough and Mark Price, both bowled by Nijat Khan for ducks, swung the game back Old Lane's way.
Despite another valiant knock by Hopkinson (23), the lower order had too much to do and fell eight runs short of victory.
The last game between Lightcliffe Motors and Bowling Old Lane meant the winners would claim the Les Benson Trophy.
Lee (36) top scored for the Division One winners but his runout was typical of fine fielding effort as Old Lane were restricted to 108 for eight off their 18 overs.
Lightcliffe Motors reply got off to the worst possible start when they lost their first three wickets for 13 runs.
Skipper Steve Elliott (20) and Sajid Ali, (36 no) then set about repairing the damage.
While Elliott's runout saw the balance shift back to Old Lane, Ali remained a danger with some mighty sixes.
However, he found himself stranded at the none striker's end as his side were bowled out 17 runs short of victory.
