A three-year-old Shelf boy was chosen as the best Telegraph & Argus "Diddyman" at the Metro Spectacular. He was Haydon Trueman, of Brow Lane. His mother, Norma, said the costume had been made on the spur of the moment out of pyjamas and a cushion only about ten minutes before they set out for the show.
