A Bradford DJ who donated a bike to two boys after their own cycles were stolen by men claiming to have a gun has collected enough cash to hand over another.
Anthony Rutter, 12, and his friend Robbie Moore, 14, were cycling at Chellow Dean, Daisy Hill, Bradford, with two friends when the men stopped them.
One of the men said his brother's bike had been stolen and asked to look at the boys' bikes.
They showed the boys an object and told them if they did not hand over their bikes they would shoot them.
The men then escaped with two bikes.
John Khan, a part-time DJ at Bradford Ice Rink, was so moved by the story, featured in the Telegraph & Argus, he donated a bike to Anthony.
Mr Khan made the gesture after his son, Jonathan, 20, won the bike in a skating competition at the Ice Rink.
But he and his son were disappointed they did not have another for Robbie.
Mr Khan, pictured with Robbie, said: "Jonathan felt bad that we'd helped one of the boys and not the other. We put our heads together and decided to collect money from friends to buy another bike.
"I would like to thank my colleagues, the Parcelnet drivers at the Grattan depot in Bradford, for their generosity."
Robbie's mum Sharon Moore said: "I can't thank Mr Khan and his son enough. It's a good end to a bad story."
Mr Khan has also given the boys free ice skating tickets for the Bradford rink.
