Hundreds of people gathered around in the grounds and ruins of the Priory Church in Bolton Abbey this Bank Holiday to see the annual spectacle of the story of Christ.
Now in it's 20th year members of the congregation, the dramatic society and villagers all gather to depict the story of the ministry, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ in their Priory Pageant. Some of the most famous scenes of the Bible were acted including Christ's baptism by John the Baptist, using the River Wharfe, the sermon on the mount, and Christ's last supper.
Visitors followed the actors around the grounds, culminating in the crucifixion scene at the Priory Church itself.
