More than 50 people have inquired about planting a tree at a Bingley countryside estate to remember their loved ones. The trees will be planted in the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Can... Cancer Research Appeal Commemorative Wood.
It is hoped that about 1,000 trees will be planted in total. They are on sale for £50 each.
The buyer, or a Forest of Bradford volunteer, can plant the tree on the St Ives Estate, Harden, on Monday, November 11 and on specific dates in January and March next year.
The birch, oak or rowan trees will make a great gift to mark a special occasion or as an ever-growing memorial for a loved one.
A certificate will be issued to each purchaser detailing a name or a personal message for the person it commemorates.
At the forest, the location of each tree will be detailed on a plaque.
To buy a tree contact the Bradford Can... Appeal office on (01274) 235482.
The appeal aims to raise £1million for cancer research at the city's university and Bradford Royal Infirmary.
