Research scientists David James Rowe and Julie Marie Wearmouth enjoyed an instant chemistry.
Now the couple - who both have chemistry degrees - have married at Holy Trinity Church, Cowling.
David is the only son of Beryl Moyle, of Penryn, Cornwall, and the late Michael Rowe. Julie is the only daughter of Malcolm and Jean Wearmouth, of Gill Lane, Cowling.
The bride - who arrived at church in a white vintage Rolls Royce - wore a two-piece ivory satin bodice and skirt with tulle overlay, studded with diamante, and a matching veil and diamante tiara.
She carried a bouquet of Thai orchids, cream roses, lilac freesias and lavender.
Bridesmaid Sally Boswell wore a full-length lilac dress with a matching organza wrap. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream roses, lilac freesias and lavender.
Best man was Steven Richards and ushers were Peter Wearmouth (bride's brother), Johnathon Fox and Mike Blackmore.
