Birds of prey returned to Haworth Parsonage on Saturday for the first time in 160 years.
Falcons flew around the field at the back of the Bront Parsonage Museum, watched by dozens of visitors.
The gathering recalled Emily Bront's actions in rescuing and rearing a Merlin hawk in 1841.
Experts from Thorp Perrow took along a dozen birds to the Parsonage Museum for a demonstration.
Museum manager Alan Bentley said the demonstration included a lot of audience participation.
He said: "People could have a go at flying the birds and have photographs taken with them. The crowd got together and made a tunnel for them to fly through."
Mr Bentley hopes to arrange for another visit by the falcons next June or July.
