An appeal for more helpers has been made by the Bradford Toy Library. Mr. John Godward, treasurer and information officer, told Shipley Inner Wheel : " We need help from people who would be willing to transport children to and from the library on a regular basis, and we need the help of students who could assist us to go out and find the handicapped children and bring them in ".
From the Telegraph & Argus of September 2nd, 1952... Bradford's contribution to the Lynmouth disaster fund, will close on 17th September. So far Bradford has raised £3,000, more than £100 being received yesterday from works and church collections. A sum of £8 5s. was received today, proceeds from a collection taken at a fashion parade organised by a Bradford clothing firm, and held at Bradford Civic Theatre.
