Pakistan's former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was arrested at his Karachi home early today and senior police sources said they expected he would soon appear in Court in connection with a murder inquiry. Mr Bhutto, 49, was ousted from office in a coup on July 5 by the Pakistani army, now ruling the country under martial law. The police sources said that Mr Bhutto was being taken 700 miles to the Punjab province capital of Lahore, where he would be produced before a magistrate within 24 hours.

The youth, from Skipton, appeared charged with failing to submit himself for a medical examination in accordance with a court order made at Bradford yesterday. He pleaded guilty and was sent to prison for four months.
