ONE of the best days of summer brought out the crowds to Norwood Show on Sunday.
Children and adults had a great day out at the village's traditional annual show and sports day held at Norwood Social Hall.
With the golden jubilee as its theme, there were plenty of entries in the handicraft and produce section with a royal theme.
Sarah Jane Patrick, from the show committee, said it had been a very good event and that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
"There was a very high standard of handicraft entries and the show committee would like to thank the judges for the difficult task they performed," she told the Wharfedale Observer.
"The weather held up very well and it was generally a very good day."
The Show trophy, given to the child under nine years old with the most points earned in different classes, went to Hollie Wade, while Jonathan Webster won the Fred Hathaway Rosebowl for the best miniature garden.
The Alan Stobbs Trophy - named after the former treasurer of Norwood Social Hall who was treasurer for more than 50 years until last year - was won by James Paxton for the best handwriting for children eight to 11 years old.
The award for best vegetable person went to Stephanie Banks.
After the show, a family rounders match was held and later in the evening there was a barbecue.
