Married at Oxenhope Parish Church were Dr Matthew Paul Mark Tait and Georgina Elizabeth Mackrell.
Matthew - a professor of engineering metrology at the University of Calgary, Canada - is the elder son of Rodney and Susan Tait, of Cottesbrooke, Northamptonshire.
Georgina - who was examinations officer for the University of Leeds before moving to Canada - is the younger daughter of Jeremy and Norma Mackrell, of Oxenhope.
The bride wore an ivory silk strapless dress with a full skirt and train, edged with a rich gold brocade embroidered with a Celtic design.
She had a full-length veil and a tiara of old gold.
She carried a bouquet of cream lilies, orchids and roses.
Matron of honour was Julia Schofield (bride's sister) and bridesmaids were Elizabeth Denby and Ruth Tait (bridegroom's sister).
They wore pale gold strapless bodices with full-length A-line skirts and matching stoles.
Best man was Dr Brian Henson and groomsmen were Christopher Gilchrist (bride's cousin), Daryl Schofield (bride's brother-in-law) and John Tait (bridegroom's brother).
