Schoolchildren will be talking in class over the next month --- but their teachers will welcome it!
BT is visiting five South Craven primary schools as part of its national education programme, aimed at helping to develop children's speaking and listening skills. An award-winning theatrical group, the Holmfirth-based CragRats Ltd, has been recruited to deliver the programme with a roadshow.
A 30-minute drama performance will be followed by an hour-long interactive workshop.
There will be certificates for the children and a competition, and each school will receive follow-up materials.
Carl Carter, for BT, said: "We want to help create a better understanding of how communication can help people in their daily lives and, therefore, create a better world."
Schools taking part are Cowling, Glusburn, Lothersdale, Sutton and Cononley.
