Bus bosses have issued a special plea to passengers.

Keighley and District Travel (K&DT) is asking the public to comment on its services.

The company's operations manager Jeff Smith said feedback was essential to help shape provision and make improvements. K&DT has launched a newsletter incorporating a customer comment card and a freepost address has been set up.

Mr Smith said: "All letters and phone calls received, and ideas sent in, are considered when making improvements to the pattern of services.

"Perhaps you have just enjoyed your bus journey, or maybe you think a route could be changed to better serve customers, or that a particular journey needs to be re-timed.

"We will gratefully receive any thoughts you have about aspects of the services and products we offer."

Five thousand copies of the first edition of the newsletter -- CUSTOMERNews -- are now in circulation on buses, at the bus station travel office and at other locations, including the town hall.

The publication includes details of some service changes which came into effect on Monday, details of which follow.

People wanting to write to K&DT using the new freepost address should simply mark the envelope FREEPOST K&D.

The following journeys have been re-timed: 66 and 68, weekdays the 3.24pm, 3.53pm and 4.24pm from Skipton-Keighley now run seven minutes later; 78A, all departures from Keighley-Skipton Monday to Saturday run four minutes later, and from Skipton-Keighley five minutes later; 697 and 698, weekdays the 7.45am from Keighley-Bradford leaves Keighley at 7.40am and the 7.29am from Oxenhope-Bradford leaves Oxenhope at 7.19am; 760, the 5.55am Saturday journey from Keighley-Leeds departs at 6.40am and runs 45min later throughout, and the 7.30am Saturday journey from Leeds-Keighley departs at 8.05am and runs 35min later throughout

The following journeys no longer run due to lack of demand: 65C, weekdays the 7.40am Keighley-Cowling Green Syke; 662, weekdays the 5.30am from Keighley-Bradford, the Monday to Saturday 5.30am Bradford-Keighley, weekdays the 6.15am from Bradford-Keighley, the Monday to Thursday 11.10pm from Keighley-Bingley; 664, the Saturday 6.55am journey from Keighley-Stanbury and the 7.25am Stanbury-Keighley; 665, the Saturday 7.25am journey from Keighley-Oakworth and the Saturday 7.55am journey from Oakworth-Keighley.
