Community groups in Keighley could receive cash aid for heritage projects.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available for a range of schemes.
The Local Heritage Initiative (LHI) -- run by the Countryside Agency -- has £375,000 a year to give away to groups in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Jane Haigh, pictured, who has just been appointed advisor for the LHI, is urging Keighley organisations to apply for funding.
She said: "Projects funded to date range from the production of community history books to the creation of heritage trails and the conservation, restoration and interpretation of the wildlife of river valleys.
"The three main components are for communities to assess their local heritage, carry out community-led action and gain support from local organisations to ensure that future generations can enjoy the benefits.
"The scheme will run for ten years, so there is plenty of opportunity for people to get together to plan future projects to enhance the spirit and distinctive character of the place where they live."
In the past two years, the LHI has provided grants totalling over £3.8 million to 343 projects throughout the country.
Projects in this region have varied from the creation of a heritage trail to the study of a 12th century well.
