A UNIQUE opportunity to take a peek around one of Craven's most historical buildings is on offer during a Heritage Open Day.
Skipton Civic Society has teamed up with David Nelson and Margaret Francis to show visitors around Old Gledstone and Gledstone Hall at West Marton next Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15.
This is the first time the Skipton Civic Society has been involved in the heritage open days, which aim to give free access to buildings of merit not normally open to the public in order to increase the community's awareness of its heritage.
The history of Old Gledstone and Gledstone Hall dates back to the early 16th century when the Gledstone family bought land in the area.
