KEIGhley choir the Holme Singers will tomorrow be the guest performers at a September Serenade.
Yeadon and District Male Voice Choir will perform popular pieces at Yeadon Methodist Church.
The Yeadon choir was inaugurated in 1913 as Yeadon Musical Union and after several name changes settled on its current one in the 1980s.
Led by musical director Ken Hemsley, it has over the past few years added a wider variety of music to its repertoire, including modern pieces. The group has just 25 members and desperately needs additional singers, who can go along to rehearsals at Trinity Church, Rawdon (JCT roundabout), any Thursday, at 7.45pm. Tomorrow's concert begins at 7.15pm. Tickets cost £4 (£2.50 for under-16) by phoning 0113 257-8078.
n Johnny and the Poorboys' gig at the Snooty Fox pub, Oakworth, tonight has been cancelled. The Wilderness will play instead.

n Alex Lloyd spent last month touring the USA with Beth Orton. The Australian singer-songwriter is in the UK in October to perform with Toploader at Birmingham Academy (20) and Leicester's De Montford Hall (21). Toploader perform at St George's Hall, Bradford (November 5), Sheffield City Hall (6) and Manchester Apollo (9).
