Detectives hunting a serial sex attacker - who preys on women and girls in Bingley, Saltaire and Baildon - today said the public had supplied some 'good leads'.
Officers yesterday appealed for help in identifying the attacker who has struck four times in a five-mile radius between April and August.
His victims - one of them a 13-year-old girl - only escaped because they fought back against the pervert or he was confronted by passers-by. Today Detective Superintendent Phil Sedgwick, who is leading the manhunt, said his team had received more than a dozen calls from the public about the attacker.
"One or two of these have provided important new leads which are already being followed up," he said, "We need to catch this man before he strikes again. We can only do this with the public's help and I would urge them to continue calling us."
Det Supt Sedgwick said he believed another woman may have been targeted but had not yet come forward. "On August 23, the day before the last reported attack, a resident in Denby Drive, Baildon, heard screams in the early hours of the morning. She went outside and spoke to a woman who was in her twenties.
"This lady was in a distressed state and said she had just been attacked."
Det Supt Sedgwick said: "I would urge this woman to speak to us." And he said there could be other women who had been targeted by the attacker.
The suspect is 6ft tall, slim, with short, fair hair. He is thought to be aged between 18 and mid twenties but has been described as older. He has worn a dark coloured hooded top and also a red football shirt. Anyone with information should contact (01535) 617083.
