Shipley town centre will be supporting Bradford's bid to be crowned Capital of Culture with a fun event on Saturday, September 14.
Shipley's 'Slice of Culture' day has been organised by town centre manager Bob Parker and promises to be a fun-packed day for the whole family. Top-class musical entertainment is promised with an internationally-renowned four-piece Panama Steel band playing a mix of music throughout the day.
Also thrilling the crowds will be Jukalo the juggler, who performs atop a 13 foot pole and also a unicycle. He will do some fixed shows and will also spend time teaching children to juggle.
"We also have Petro the clown who will be mixing with the crowds and going in and out of shops, no doubt creating mayhem as he goes," said Mr Parker. John Froud, of Shipley Baptist Church, will be performing with a support band at lunch time.
There will also be henna painting and a face painter in the indoor market.
Mr Parker said: "I'm hoping that it will be a fun day for all the family."
The fun runs from 10.30am until 4pm.
