It may a dead rubber for the Cougars, but that doesn't mean they won't be taking their trip to Oldham tomorrow seriously.

Whatever the result at Hurst Cross, Keighley will still face a gruelling trip to Barrow in two weeks time in the play-offs for a place in the top flight of the split NFP.

But with winning pay at stake, and tanned skipper James Rushforth back from his honeymoon, coach Gary Moorby is looking to take the points. Oldham are on the verge of a place in Division One next season and have been buoyed by the return of forward Bryan Henare.

"We want to end the season on a high," said Moorby, who is resigned to playing Division Two football next time around.

"The players will want their winning pay and they will want to capitalise on the way we have improved in recent weeks.

"I know it will be a tough game but we will give it a go.

"The lads have trained well this week and there is a good spirit in the camp with many of the players signing on the dotted line for next year."

The return of Rushforth, who will relieve Matti Firth of the captain's armband, is the only change for the Cougars from their battle with Workington last week.

After what has been a tough and frustrating first season for Moorby, he will want to end the regular season on a high.

Paul Ashton is expected to start against his home-town club.

Cougars: Rushforth, Wainwright, Fairbank, Steel, Smith, Tomlinson, Ashton, Firth, Stephenson, Hoyke, Ekis, Wilkes, Durham, Fearon, Hartley, Robinson, Patterson, Hannah.
