Two major new initiatives against the National Front have been launched today, after yesterday's Telegraph & Argus report of a Front recruiting drive in schools. Some of Britain's leading anti-fascist campaigners will concentrate on Bradford in an effort to counter what has been called the Hitler Youth Movement-style effort by the Front.

Shipley Special Constables' Association has held its first motor treasure hunt. Nearly 60 members and their wives took part in a cross-country chase which took them over a 51-mile route through Fewston and as far as West End. The course finished at Yeadon Aerodrome, where a meal was provided.
