Police officers were today due to take their anti-drugs message to residents in Frizinghall.
Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator Gary Smith and crime prevention officer PC Dean Taylor, of Keighley Police, were due to pass on advice about drug abuse as well as information on Neighbourhood Watch and crime prevention.
They will also be on hand to talk about how the Crackdown in Bradford initiative is tackling drug markets in the district and the new Dob in a Dealer campaign.
The project, launched in July, has so far seen the Bradford district drugs team arrest more than 60 people for drug-related offences. The aim is to increase the number of people suspected of dealing in Class A drugs and help people resist drugs.
The event was due to take place at the Frizinghall Community Centre, Bradford, between noon and 5pm. Anyone with information about drug dealing in the Bradford and Keighley district can Dob in a Dealer by phoning Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
