Businesses in the district are getting on-line when it comes to making the most of technology.
Yorkshire firms are ahead of the national average when it comes to making use of websites - and the level of use has increased in the past 12 months.
Some 81 per cent of businesses in Yorkshire and Humber have a website, ahead of the national average.
But the Government survey also revealed many firms can still make more use of technology, with just 20 per cent of them trading on the internet. Stephen Timms, minister for e-commerce, said: "Businesses in the region are truly embracing e-business but they still have a long way to go."
