Sunday Alliance League: Last Sunday, for the first time in Alliance League Cup action, two teams from the same club played each other when Queensbury's first and second elevens met in the Senior League Cup third round.
The first team won the match 4-2.
Now there's a chance of a repeat in the Bradford and District Senior Cup. Albion Sports Reserves are at home this weekend against Bolton Woods in the competition's third round and the winners have a quarter-final date against Albion's first team. Albion Reserves will be up for it against a side with a good cup reputation, although they have still to win the District Cup despite five previous appearances in the final.
After a spell away, Derek Rouse marked his return to Woods' forward line with a goal last week in their County Cup tie against Shoulder of Mutton.
In the other third round games, Holme Wood should be too strong for Nags to claim an all-Division One quarter final date against Hare & Hounds. Having been kicked out of the County Cup earlier, Queensbury have the incentive to reach the semi-final stage for the second time in three seasons. They should account for visitors St Pat's to earn their quarter final place at Quarry.
The other tie features the two sides involved in the Premier relegation issue. Bradford Moor, who finally recorded their first league win last Sunday, play Wrose Bull. Fairweather Green, who await in round four, play their outstanding County Cup game at Fox Pontefract.
