Deaf youngsters are being encouraged to get the most out of sport in a new scheme.
Staff from Thorn Park School for deaf children have set up regular swimming sessions for their pupils at Shipley Pool. They have also invited along other children who are deaf or hearing impaired, from Girlington Primary. They are delighted that one of the pupils has already passed her 100-metre qualification.
Dave Muir, head teacher at Thorn Park, said: "We are very proud of this as once again it is providing equal opportunities for deaf children." Pictured by the poolside is eight-year-old Anna Muir of Thorn Park School
