Christmas sparkle came to Bingley as a lantern procession lit up the town.
Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Richard Wightman joined pupils from four primary schools, Myrtle Park, Trinity and All Saints, Priestthorpe and Eldwick who had made colourful lanterns for the parade and a carol concert in Myrtle Park.
Meanwhile, visitors to Red House Museum in Gomersal had a taste of Christmas past.
An exhibition opened giving details of festive traditions and customs over the last 300 years.
Among those featured was the Lord of Misrule, a star entertainer at Tudor parties.
Here, he is pictured reading to ten-year-old Paula Smith. The exhibition will be open until Sunday, January 5.
