The case of a spinster who harassed a Roman Catholic priest has been further adjourned in her absence.
Bradford Crown Court Judge Shaun Spencer QC was told yesterday that a mental health assessment was still being carried out on Bernadette Quinn, 42.
Quinn, of Dodge Holme Court, Mixenden, Halifax, has admitted harassing 35-year-old Father Jonathan Hart, who now works at the Holy Spirit Church in Heckmondwike.
The obsessed cleaner was originally made the subject of a restraining order by Calderdale magistrates. But at a hearing earlier this year, she admitted breaching the order not to harass Father Hart.
She was remanded in custody by a judge in August to await her sentence. But after a further hearing in October she was moved from a women's prison near Wakefield to a unit at Calderdale Royal Infirmary under an interim hospital order.
Judge Spencer agreed to extend the order for a further 28 days so the assessment can be completed. She is now expected to be sentenced on January 15 next year.
