Back home in Denmark, Claus Jorgensen would be enjoying some relaxation.
His time would be spent making the most of the festive period as the national league breaks for the winter.
But there is no such opportunity here, and after more than three years battling through English winters Jorgensen is getting used to it.
So instead he will have to play his part in helping City through their busiest, and arguably most important, period of the season.
"Although it is colder over there we don't play at this time of the year," said the Dane, dwarfed by an enormous winter coat.
"I am used to the weather but I don't really like it too much.
"However, training has been good this week because everyone is happy about our win over Forest.
"It was a good feeling and something we have been waiting for."
And the Dane believes the players sensed it was going to be a win from the first minute.
"We were up for it straight away," he said.
"As soon as the game kicked off we were all going for it.
"Sometimes when things start badly heads go down and perhaps the supporters don't get behind you as much as you would like.
"But everyone seemed to be full of confidence and we got on with our jobs very well."
And he, and the other players, will be hoping for more of the same against Watford.
"It will be a hard game but we are pleased to go there after a win," he said.
"We want to start the same way and if we work hard we can maybe get another win."
But exactly what role the 26-year-old will play in the team will probably remain a mystery until tomorrow morning.
Jorgensen has played in a variety of positions all season, and, with injuries continuing to bite the Dane is happy to remain as a utility player.
"I will play anywhere the manager wants me to," he added.
"My favourite position is wide in midfield, but I have been used as a covering defender this season.
"We haven't got too many options so I will do what I am told for the team.
"I don't mind playing in different places, I just want to be in the team and hopefully win some games."
