Older people in the Barkerend area are to benefit from smoke alarms which have been donated by Fagley firm British Bakeries.
The 100 smoke alarms have been handed over to Age Concern at a variety of venues across Bradford including Greenhill Methodist Church, Barkerend.
Shaun Green, of Age Concern, said he was delighted.
He said: "It is brilliant that we are being helped like this by a Bradford firm.
"The smoke alarms will be of great help in the community especially to older people."

Richard Clark, site manager at British Bakeries, said the smoke alarms were donated to help promote a partnership with the community.
He said: "Our team won a national health and safety award and we gave out smoke alarms to all 540 of them.
"Then we thought that it would be good to build links with the commu-nity by giving them out. So far we have donated 100." Shaun Green, of Age Concern, is pictured handing alarms to Jeanette Hawley at Greenhill Methodist Church.
