Nicky Law believes City have turned the corner as they head for Wolves.
The Bantams go into the next stage of their Christmas slog with confidence buzzing from the 4-2 home win over struggling Stoke.
Yesterday's victory - their second in a row at home - gives Law's men an eight-point cushion on their relegation rivals as they prepare for the daunting trip to Molineux.
Law said: "It's a massive win for us. Had we lost that then they would have pulled us back to two points. Hopefully it will be the game we look back on as the turning point of our season.
"We knew we had to get something out of it to take to Wolves because that is going to be a tough game. It also sets us up for Grimsby next Wednesday which is going to be another six-pointer."
It was the first time City have beaten any of the teams below them this season although they made hard work of it, twice falling behind and trailing at half-time to a side who have not won since September 21.
Law added: "For a long time it looked like their first win for ages until we got our act together. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb before we started.
"We've got to stop doing that because better teams will make you pay and not let you back in to it.
"But in the second half we showed that when we play at the higher tempo and try to pass the ball we do look a decent side. We've got some good footballers but at times we don't do things quickly or sharply enough."
Stoke boss Tony Pulis feels it is too early for City to think they are clear of the relegation mixer.
Pulis said: "There is still a long way to go this season and a lot can happen.
"If we can get a run of results then it can change very quickly.
"Bradford kept battling away but you expect that because they are down there and in the same position as us."
Wolves, who drew 0-0 at City on the opening day, will be looking to bounce back after losing 2-1
yesterday at Burnley.
