The scarcity of labour persists in most of the wool textile mills in the West Riding.Factories resumed work after the four-day Christmas break still in need of about 550 women workers in Bradford alone, mainly spinners, weavers and menders. An official of the Bradford Employment Exchange said that by contrast, at this time last year, textile vacancies were negligible.
