A 62-year-old man was today recovering in hospital after suffering severe facial injuries when he was attacked by ten men on Christmas Eve.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said the incident happened between 9.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday, after the man had left the Halfway House Inn at Sandbeds, Queensbury, Bradford.
The spokesman said it is thought the man was assaulted by a group of ten men opposite the Victoria Hall, Sandbeds.
"The man suffered severe face injuries requiring hospital treatment," he said.
"He is recovering in hospital and doing well. We are continuing with our inquiries."
Three other customers from the pub who tried to help the man were also attacked, leaving them bruised and one with an ear injury.
The suspects were described as young white men.
