Bradford City today parted company with assistant manager Ian Banks.
A club statement from chairman Gordon Gibb said the decision had been made for financial reasons.
It read: " The club regret to announce that it has terminated the contract of Ian Banks due to current financial constraints which it is experiencing.
"The club wish Ian Banks every success in the future and thank him for his efforts both as a player and as part of the management team."
Banks, who will be 42 next week, joined the club with boss Nicky Law a year ago after the pair had steered Chesterfield to promotion from Division Three.
The former City and Huddersfield defender had been in charge of the reserves after the number of backroom staff was cut back during administration.
