Keighley Town Council has donated £350 to the Lund Park Community Group.
Councillor Mike Wilkinson who had encouraged members to give financial support to LPCG, which is campaigning to promote the positive aspects of the Lund Park area, handed over a cheque to members of the group in Lund Park.
He said: "It gives me great pleasure to donate this money on behalf of the town council.
"One of the reasons I actually stood as a councillor was to reclaim the parks and this is one way I see of doing it."
LPCG member Chris Huggins said: "We are delighted to accept this money.
"It will be used to continue the good work in bringing the community together."
Recently the group organised an evening concert of big band music with help from Keighley Area Committee and a £350 Community Chest grant.
Members are already planning an exhibition in March to celebrate the history of the park.
They want to encourage more people to get involved with the community group and are looking for residents and people who use the park to come up with more ideas.
